God is One Not a Trinity
e rely on bible truth because it is our ultimate authority, since: All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right (2 Timothy 3:16).
Debunking the Trinity System of Thought
The false doctrine of the Trinity commonly expresses the unity of three coequal, consubstantial, coeternal divine distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as three persons in one Godhead, Three-in-One, or Triune God.
The word Trinity, is not found anywhere in the Bible. The concept takes root from verses such as Matthew 28:19:
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit
- Some Trinitarians have tried to explain the concept as "three dimensional" on a divine level, but scripture tells us that God is spirit (John 4:24) in nature.
- Notice, we have ONE God who works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us (1 Corinthians 12:6).
- God = The Word = Holy Spirit = The Father = The Beginning = The End = The Son (Jesus Christ, is actually God (spirit) manifest in the flesh (John 1). ONE God with multiple functions and multiple titles.
- Just take a look at God’s Attributes: Omnipresence (everywhere present– Jeremiah 23:23) and Omnipotent (having unlimited power – incomprehensible power: (Ephesians 3:20, Jeremiah 32:27, Matthew 19:26). He lives in us (1 John 4) and us in Him, yes, us in Him! (Acts 17:28, 1Thessalonians 1:1, 1John 2:24, 1John 5:20).
One God Not Three
Do we not all have one Father? Did not one God create us? (Mal 2:10).
One Mighty God without any god-heads gave us the following for us to be saved:
- One Body = The Church (Romans 12:4-8, Ephesians 4:2-4, 1 Corinthians 10:16-17)
- One Spirit = The Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:4, 1 Corinthians 6:17)
- One Hope = 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17, Rom. 8:18–30, Ephesians 4:4,
- One Lord = Jesus Christ (Ephesians 4:4, Deuteronomy 4:35, James 2:19 )
- One Faith = Same belief (Ephesians 4:4, Jude 3)
- One Baptism = Same baptism (Ephesians 4:4, Acts 2:38, 1 Peter 3:21)
- One Mediator = For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, (1 Tim 2:5)
The Father, The Son, The Holy Ghost, The Word are titles of ONE God who works in different ways, but it is the same ONE God who does the work in all of us (1 Corinthians 12:6).
The Son (Jesus Christ) who is God, walked on water, The Son (God) healed the sick, The Son (God) forgave sins because it is ONE God who works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us (1 Corinthians 12:6).
Let’s See What God Himself Says:
- See now that I myself am he! There is no god besides me (Deuteronomy 32:39).
- You shall have no other gods before me” (Exodus 20:3).
- I am the first and I am the last, and there is no God besides Me (Isaiah 44:6).
Let’s See What the Scripture Says:
- “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one” (Deuteronomy 6:4).
- Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we exist. (1 Corinthians 8).
- For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5).
Key Takeaways:
Understand, Innerstand and Overstand
God clearly mentioned over and over that He is ONE. God is not made up of several distinct persons. God is spirit, do you get that? The Word immediately becomes corrupted as soon as it is altered, adjusted, modified, or changed by anyone for any reason.
The word Trinity does not exist in the bible. The Almighty God is One not three distinct persons. Listen to what God himself declares. Apostle Paul had to deal with similar issues regarding false, man-made gospels, take a look at his letter to the Galatians:
As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be under a curse! (Galatians 1:9).
