Ask yourself why people picked up stones to try and stone him. During Jesus` time, the Jewish people were very familiar with their scripture what we call Old Testament today. They knew very well that the words I AM (Exodus 3:7–8, 13–14) refers to God, Known to ancient Israel as the Lord Jehovah. So in that context, anyone claiming to be I AM would have meant they are God Almighty. That is why they picked up stones, ready to kill Jesus.

“Truly, truly, I tell you,” Jesus declared, “before Abraham was born, I am!” At this, they picked up stones to throw at Him. But Jesus was hidden and went out of the temple area. (John 8:58-9)

12. What does it mean that Jesus saves?

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

Judas Iscariot who betrayed Jesus with a kiss leading soldiers to arrest Him.

Jewish authorities: the Sanhedrin, (a Jewish judicial body) under Caiaphas  (the high priest) who took Jesus to Pontius Pilate (Roman Governor) who had overseeing power to put anyone to death.

  1. and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered Him to the sentence of death, and crucified Him. (Luke 24:20)
  2. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. (1 Corinthians 2:8)

The people above carried out the act but God had already planned Jesus' death:

“No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father" (John 10:18).

Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels? But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way?” (Matthew 26:53-55).

14. How come God did not save Jesus on the cross?

  2. You are not to make any gods alongside Me; you are not to make for yourselves gods of silver or gold. Exodus 20:23

17. Was Jesus praying to Himself if he's God?

Jesus lived a righteous life, a perfect example of how we should live our lives as well in order for us to be saved. He preached a messaged of love, forgiveness and kindness. He (John 1:1) came to our level as a human being to experience what we experience. God so loved the world that He came among us to save us.

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in human likeness (Philippians 2:5-7).

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich (2 Corinthians 8:9)

18. If Jesus was God, why did He say "No one is good but God alone"?

As a fellow human being, he was pointing out the one who deserves praise. Jesus did not come into the world boasting that he is God, the Son of God or the Messiah. Jesus did not come with chariots of horses and an army of angels behind him wearing a golden crown with the biggest brightest diamonds. He was even offered all that bling by Satan (Matthew 4:9).

Again, Jesus emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in human likeness (Philippians 2:5-7).

19. How can Jesus be God if Deuteronomy 6:4 says that God is one?

Jesus himself said:

  1. I and the Father are one (John 10:30)

20. Jesus Christ was born, ate and got hungry, how can he be God?

  1. I and the Father are one (John 10:30)

26. Was Jesus black or white?

Unfortunately, some people have become obsessed with Jesus' skin color and race but I don't think we should focus on that. Jesus was focused on teaching the Good News so that we may be saved.

The bible does not describe Jesus' physical appearance that much but we do know he was born in Bethlehem and of Jewish descent.

Revelation 1:15 says his hair was like wool, and as white as snow, and His eyes were like a blazing fire. his feet were like bronze.

27. What religion or church did Jesus belong to?

The entire bible (Old and New Testament) is about Jesus Christ. The church was started by Jesus, religion and denominations are manmade.

  1. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it ( Matthew 16:18)
  2. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, Ephesians 1:22

28. Is Jesus part of the Trinity?

The Trinity is not mentioned in the Bible, therefore a false doctrine. There are no 3 gods but One Almighty God

  1. “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD” (Deuteronomy 6:4) confirmed by Jesus Christ himself in Mark 12:29.
  2. Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: “I am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no god (Isaiah 44:6).
  3. I and the Father are one (John 10:30).
  4. Remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me (Isaiah 46:9).

29. Can we pray to Mary the mother of Jesus?

First, she is not divine or a supreme being, therefore, no. Second, it is not biblical; the bible is our ultimate authority. Third, dead saints, apostles, pastors, preachers, The Virgin Mary and ALL people are not mediators or intercessors of God; only JESUS CHRIST is.

Here it is, plain and simple:

  1. For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5).
  2. “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6).

WHY IS THIS SO IMPORTANT?

Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming (Ephesians 4:14).

30. Is Mary the mother of Jesus also Mother of God?

Mother of God, seriously? Some people have taken a bold step to claim that there is God the Mother.

  1. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End (Revelation 22:13).
  2. Listen to Me, O Jacob, and Israel, whom I have called: I am He; I am the first, and I am the last ( Isaiah 48:12).
  3. "I am the first and I am the last, and there is no God but Me (Isaiah 44:6).

WHY IS THIS SO IMPORTANT?

Ephesians 4:14

Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.

31. Is Jesus the Messiah?

Yes He Is

Jesus fulfilled the Messianic prophecy as written in Isaiah 35:4-6 and Isaiah 61:1

People even recognized and celebrated:Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted, 'Hosanna!' 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!' (Mark 11:9).

32. Did God forsake Jesus on the cross?

Jesus paid the full price

He died on our behalf so God would not forsake us instead. On the cross, Jesus quoted Psalm 22 expressing the agony he was going through in regards to his humanity and also fulfilling the prophecy.

His death was a separation from the Father "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23).

“We all, like sheep, have gone astray … and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all” (Isaiah 53:6).

Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted (Isaiah 53:4).

33. If Jesus Was the Messiah, Why Did His People Reject Him?

The scribes and Pharisees were jealous of Him:

“We are not stoning you for any good work,” they replied, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.” (John 10:33).

Jesus attracted huge multitudes and crowds of people teaching and healing them. Jesus replied.

even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.” (John 10:38).

34. Can The Virgin Mary, mother of Jesus pray on your behalf?

No.

  1. Mary is not divine, she is not alive but in Hades (Revelation 20:13).
  2. No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man (John 3:13)
  3. God has made it clear that praying to the dead is sin (Deuteronomy 18:11; 1 Samuel 28:1-25; 1 Chronicles 10:13-14).

35. Do I pray to Jesus or God?

  1. Jesus tells us in John 14:14, “And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”
  2. For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5)
  3. “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6)

36. What did Jesus mean by being born again?

“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 2 Corinthians

For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God (1 Peter 1:23).

How can that take place?

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Accept Christ as your saviour.

"Repent and be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission (or forgiveness) of sins" (Acts 2:38).

37. Did Jesus have to die?

It was God`s plan

We are all born in sin which we inherited from Adam (Romans 5:121 Corinthians 15:21–22).

In order to rid that sin, here's what God did:

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16).

Jesus died on our behalf. The scriptures confirm that: Romans 6:23: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

38. Why did Jesus choose 12 disciples?

The 12 would serve as the core of his new church, the New Israel.

The Israelites were divided into twelve tribes: Asher, Dan, Ephraim, Gad, Issachar, Manasseh, Naphtali, Reuben, Simeon, Zebulun, Judah and Benjamin.

Jesus said to them, 'Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. (Matthew 19:28)

And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb" (Revelation 21:12–14).

39. Is Jesus rich?

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich (2 Corinthians 8:9).

Jesus tells us himself the value of the Kingdom of Heaven: the Parable of the Hidden Treasure which appears in (Matthew 13:4)

40. When will Jesus return?

“Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay everyone for what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” (Revelation 22:12-13).

Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. (Revelation 1:7).
